I grew up in an Asian country and one of the traditional I hold dearly in my life is having to take off the shoes before entering the house. I got married here in Houston and the culture is far different. The lifestyle in the state is more fast paced and modern. Sometimes my husband would sleep with his coat and slacks on. But nontheless he would be shoe less. I instilled in our home that no slippers nor a shoe could enter our home. In my childhood province, a home is considered as a sactuary and stepping on the inside of the house with a filthy slipper is a big disgrace to the homemaker. So to make our home condusive for barefoot, I often purchase different Rugs that would make the feet of my family comfortable. Through the years, I bought a lot of rugs with different designs, textures and colors. They were all amazing. My latest collections includes the pink and brown accent floor rug, and the sage simple border indoor/outdoor rug. During my serene moments alone at home I would read my book Death of the rug lord at the comfort of my lady bug rug. Rugs have been part of our home and our lives. It was a culture long cultivated in my heart and I would never let go though how many years may pass on me.
